A Touch of Red: Footbridge Over Nashua Creek, Belle Isle
A Touch of Red: Footbridge Over Nashua Creek, Belle Isle, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. This was also an exercise in Selective Color and I am not sure it turned out as well as I'd hoped. The original picture was fairly colorless anyway, taken as it was during the winter. Click image to view larger.

One of the better subjects for selective colour. Nice comp. Love the windy path leading to the bridge! Did you try it in b&w. I wondered if the red would look more striking against black?
I did try it in black and white and I liked it a lot; it was more striking. However, I thought the warmer picture was more appealing. The other one looked too cold.
This one or one like it might be a good one to play around with hand coloring.
Did you put hand-coloring on Photique?
We should play with that, don't you think?
I'll go look.
I reckon though that with the black background here it would look good. In fact it would look good up together with the sepia one.
